tommy, even if we have our own sasakyan, or magbaon which are expected to a number who are joining the reunion, I suppose we still need to pay for the contribution. This is indeed a fund raising kasi nga there are things/projects/activities to be done that need to be financed. d porke may sariling baon or sasakyan e d na magbabayad. Kailangan parin. Reunion whether grand or not needs finances to ensure its success

Thanks, 2LITS! I completely agree with you. Wala naman yata namimilit sa u TOMMY. Good for you may masasakyan ka. Pero may magiging problema KA ba dun kung magkakaroon sila ng fund raising . . . ?

. . .I dont think so.

Being one of the organizers of this event, I strongly suggest you browse through the topic PLANS for 2010 GRAND REUNION. If you will notice, maraming activities naka line up. So yung contribution mo will not only be alloted sa transportation at meals mo kundi it will also cover for other activities. The primary purpose of this event is for us Acojenians to be reunited, pangalawa is for us to help the community in whatever way we can, therefore kung meron matitira sa contribution we will hand it to Acoje Residents Association. Kaya hindi ka nagkakamali Tommy, in a way fund raising nga eto for the benefit of Acoje community. Do you suggest otherwise? Baka you have better plans of how we can help Acoje, please let us know.

Tommy baka I am getting the wrong definition of FUND RAISING, please orient me. Paki PM na lang ako.

Tommy, don't get us wrong if ever darknight, debz and I reacted this way with your post. This shouldn't discourage you from posting or visiting the site. Just be responsible or be sensitive with your post next time. I know you didn't mean to be mean. Doc debz halatang medyo you were pissed off with your reaction he he. FUND RAISING whatever you call it is still FUND RAISING. I believe you're professional enough to deal with this types of reactions. reactions of this type shouldn't hinder or demoralize you from pushing through with your work for the good of Acoje. keep up! you're doing great! looking forward to meeting you during one of your meetings/plannings in manila. I frequent Manila by the way.

Opo, isang choice yun camp style. Yun iba naman will be accomodated ng mga families who are still in Acoje, others sa school building.

Kaya we are encouraging everybody to register so we can have rough estimate kung ilan pupunta and in so doing ma-no notify namin yun incharge sa accomodation.

1 thousand/person po =)

I have already asked manang joy regarding the other details. We will post it once available.

By the way, the initial amount needed to open the bank account was taken from the donations received last Christmas party. Many thanks to MANANG JOY for her initiative in opening the bank account. For those who do not know yet di pa tayo pedeng mag open ng bank account under acoje organization kasi kailangan muna natin formally ma register kaya mabuti na lang pumayag si ate joy na gamitin yun name nya:wink:

Good PM Kaaruba, speaking of FUND RAISING.... my husband just reminded me that an organization will not work out w/o a fund so again suggestion laeng.

** T shirt, sweatshirts w/ the Acoje Mines logo, then sell it during the event and whatever the profit is, it goes to the fund. I tried to canvas here but w/ the S&H its not worth it. Whoever knows where to get it at a lesser price, the better. Baka mabalin nga pag aambunan tau ti cost na tay iso kapay.

**Jayrdpogi, if you couldpass it to the folks down in acoje to start making basket rattan/weaves, or any nga nilaglaga or any of their indigenous products that they could sell during the event tay iso ka pay nga pamosposan da .I have a fruit tray made from Acoje and its absolutelybetter to compare w/ the other baskets.

Sorry Doc, I just browsed the reunion plans not too long ago and camping is one of them. Sana matuloy, a nice and safe where we can tent and do bonfire. 1T for 3 days is absolutely worth it not to mention the experience the young and old would endure. When would you think the final date would be made? I'm sure most of us have a limited vacation. I for one need to know before i file for my leave. Pls don't think that i'm nagging i just wanted the reunion so bad that i cant wait to attend. Have a nice day, folks...

thats an excellent suggestion, the one about t-shirt :D . kasi i remember last christmas party, a lot of those who attended requested for copies of the tarpaulin posted in front and they were willing to pay for it. unfortunately, isang copy lang yun so we just gave it away. i will scout around about the initial expenses so we can start on it. kaya din we encourage tose who are financially able to deposit contribtion as early as now

Im currently working on some designs for the Acoje shirt. A project we also planned in 2008. Maybe, I could dig those designs for these project. I can also help for the printing of the Acoje shirt for I once have an experience in silkscreen printing from my former employer. We do printing jobs for JAG, LEE and TRIBAL Shirts.
