Some suggestions.
1) What if we hold this Friday Saturday and Sunday?
2) Lets allow others to go on their own using their cars for comfortable trip
3) 1000 is quite big for some of our friends. Maybe we can just charge the minimum final program/activity entrance fee like Php2OO or Php 250.
4) I notice batch bonding in lined up activities. Maybe we can allow the batch to plan on their own and just invite the batch to a grand reunion or grand program that will last for 2 to 5 hours....
what do you think?

thanks for the suggestions ading.

we are really going to hold it fri, sat and sun. the exact date to follow

yes, those who have cars may use it for their own convenience. the general plan however, is to hire a mini bus for those who do not have vehicles.

the 1k is to cover meals for 2 1/2 days, prizes for the games, things needed for med mission and of course the pamasahe going in and out. this amount would not even suffice if we are to do community service, not to add the expenses which the organizing batch will incur in the planning stage. nevertheless, we will push through as planned. we are to solicit finacial help from the GENEROUS graduates of acoje to augment whatever amount we will have. anyway, 2010 is still 2 years from now, enough time to save for the event. according to the treasurer of the organizing team, if we are to divide 1000 pesos by 24 months, we will have to save 41.66 pesos per month till 2010. pede na :D

in short ading, 250 is not really feasible :? one alternative we are eyeing is for one to sponsor somebody who cant really afford the said amount :)

Yeah... I guess the organizers will have to do fund raising for this if it is going to push through as planned though community service should not be that costly. prizes should be for the account of the company operating in the area i guess since they will be the beneficiary on the existence of people there ( I remember when Acoje was operated professionally, since the company is benefiting from the people there, the company is handling all the cost, even subsidizing the cost of the activities). Im sure the company that is operating there can very well handle even 100% of the cost of that gathering reunion, or maybe we need to appeal to them as early as now to plan and save for the funding of everything so we wont be charging anything anymore. As for the organizing team, I think it will be a wrong move to add the expenses of the organizing team to be charged to the collection, volunteering to organize this event means not charging anything, hopefully this will not happen. And I think the organizing team should not busy themselves to feed all the guests 3Xaday for 2and1/2 days. It would be better if people will be left on their own to bring their own baon choice of food to eat in their entire stay there. This means lesser work for the organizing team and more freedom for the visitors to choose the food that they are going to eat. Lets just leave it to the people there (owners of carinderia to cook and do business by cooking food and selling it there to the visitors for 2 and 1/2 days. That way we will help them do business at least for a few days. So therefore the Php250 is more than enough price tag for 1 social gathering/even with buffet dinner. This means visitors handle their own transpo cost, food cost except for the 1 meal general gathering-- say big event which will be charged against the php250 fee.... Just a piece of my mind. I hope all the members of the organizing team will look at this aspect also...

suggestion lang... instead of charging so much for each participant, why not just ask each to bring a gift of any kind and anyworth which we can give to people of acoje in exchange of their hospitality for all those guest who will be visiting the place. this way, we dont impose on cost to those who cannot afford..... just another piece of my mind.

Hello Doc....that's a sound idea. I agree.

Kusto diay kunam apo doctora debz.....P 1.30 lang kada aldaw apo nga urnongen tayo nga taga Acoje tapno makatulong tayo uray kas-kasano. P 1,000.....urnongen tayon kakabsat....saan nga nadagsen aglalo no intay kitkitaen ti masangnguanan. Kadagiti kailian tayo nga taga-Acoje...suportaan tayo apo ti idea ni doctora.

Ang 1,000 apo ay di naman kabigatan na sa atin lalo pa't hinihintay natin yan sa loob ng dalawang taon pa. Ang katumbas po naman yan eh di natin masusukat. Minsan pa nating itaguyod ang pagkakaisa natin.

To the The Organizers, just keep up the good work. We could not participate for now, but your dedication to prepare for the incoming event really inspire us. Along with our prayers, itultuloy yo latta apo ti inrugi yo.

i agree with manong bong laurea and doc debs. If there are people who would wish to bring their own food or travel on their own, they can do so but for purposes of uniformity, for those who are willing, then we set the amount payable. And with respect to the convoy plan..this is more than travelling at the same time but it is part of the bonding activity just like the old times when a convoy from acoje marches up to bring ina poon bato...While taking out sponsors would be an option, we cannot entirely bank on this without a fall back, thus it would be best if we have a hold on logistics under our command. This is suppose to be planning for a much anticipated get together in the true spirit of being acojenians , so mayat nga aramiden tayo amin just like old times. Lets not make the preparations for this event too contentious since we have the same purpose. Cheers to the organizing committee....anya ngay? lets party people.... manong bong....long time no see .....how is our good old manong bong?

Sa totoo lang ilang reunion na ang naidaos ng batch na yan........mas marami silang subok na idea sa organization. Napaka-active! Me direction talagang pupuntahan tayo kasi nakalista na lahat. So wala na tayong ibang gagawin kundi suportahan na lang at mamili kung saan tayo angkop di ba atty?

giving books to the school is indeed a very good idea.
I am also thinking of a certain program wherein we could invite folks in acoje to join us in our gathering. I am longing really to see those who are still there after 20 years or more.
